Rebecca (Becca) has been a fundraiser and donor advisor for several progressive organizations since 2005. While Becca enjoys working with a broad range of our clients at Abundance Strategies, she has a particular passion for protecting our democracy and ensuring all Americans have equitable access to political participation.
Prior to joining the Abundance Team, Becca was the Development Director of America Votes, the coordination hub of the progressive community. Before this role, she was the Director of Partner Services at the Democracy Alliance, where she was responsible for executing the strategic plan to grow and expand the Alliance Partnership and advised DA Partners on their philanthropic giving. Becca spent five years in the Development Department at EMILY’s List where she created and launched EMpower, EMILY’s List first ever membership program for young professionals. Becca also served on the events team and as Major Gifts Manager, overseeing fundraising staff, planning annual conferences, and organizing the 20th and 25th anniversary celebrations at EMILY’s List.
Becca’s first foray into politics came in the office of Senator Carl Levin (D-Mich), and she worked on campaigns in Michigan, California, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and Texas before settling in Washington in 2005. A proud Detroit native, Becca received her B.A. from Denison University with a double major in Political Science and Communication. Becca and husband David are proud parents of three young daughters, Milly, Lulu and Liesel.
